  • Work with all customers to enter the correct material codes for commodities we receive

  • Ensure material weight is accurately recorded

  • Keep the weighing equipment in good condition and report any issues to management

  • Collect, record, and maintain all purchasing and sales tickets

  • Test radiation detective system once a month and report any issues to management

  • Responsible for the end of the day reporting

  • Maintain documentation for any transfers and adjustments to the inventory

  • Troubleshoot work related problems using job knowledge, experience, and by communicating with others

  • Understand start up, shutdown, safety and emergency procedures

  • Perform additional duties as needed

  • Proficient with MS Office products, internet and basic computer skills

  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with excellent strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work with exposure to extremes in temperature, chemical, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spaces

  • Dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule Monday through Friday, and half day Saturdays; which may include some overtime.

  • Must have effective listening and verbal skills to identify important information and to engage with internal and external customers

  • Must speak and understand English language in verbal communication, Bilingual preferred

  • Work well with team members or independently; give and receive feedback in a constructive manner

  • Prior scrap yard experience

  • General Office Administration, Customer Service, and/ or banking experience
